It often happens that in the operation of the internal combustion engine, interruptions occur: it is difficult to start, it works unstable at idle, often "sneezes" and produces black smoke. An experienced motorist immediately pay attention to the ignition system, in particular to work with candles. One of the most common problems with candles is the appearance of black nagar. There are different ways to clean.
Steel brush. Many car enthusiasts prefer to clean the spark plugs with knife, screwdrivers, sandpaper, seer, etc. It can not be done! Acute items scratched the insulator. Even if they do not bring it out of order, it will significantly reduce the time designed to operate candles. If a lightweight nagar was formed on the candlelight, it is preferable to use a soft brush from thin steel wire, as well as plates of wood or plastic. Powder. You will need any abrasive powder and an old toothbrush. Try to find a brush with a fairly rigid bristle. Water it with water, dip in powder and clean the candle. So that it is not damaged, carry out smooth movements and do not press too much. At the end, wash the powder along with the residues of the mud. Well dried cleaning candles and use them again in operation.
- Ultrasound. Candles with nagar are lowered into a special water capacity through which the ultrasound is subsequently carried out. For 10-15 minutes, all spark plugs are cleaned almost from any nagar. The only drawback is the high cost of cleaning.
- Sandblasting method. Cleaning is carried out with the help of a powerful jet of sand, which flies out of a special high pressure nozzle. Literally after 10 minutes, the spark plugs will again become suitable. Not every hundred has such a device.
To clean the candles, you can choose any of the above options. The simplest, safe and effective way is chemical. The use of sandblasting apparatus and ultrasound is also very effective, but expensive. Moreover, the drivers themselves can easily cope with cleaning at home.
Cool, well done author. But methods of cleaning candles are not all. When I was the happily owner of the first of my car -Moskvich, I cleaned a hundred times a month with a special sandblasting machine for cleaning the spark plugs. The result was always hit. True, if you clean a lot and very long, the contact becomes much thinner.
