Completely cleaning the phone may be needed in many cases: its sale, the desire to start everything from scratch, systemic errors, the presence of an insidious virus. Formatting not only removes all the contents, but also deifers the downloaded early applications, drops user settings, messages. Types of formatting on Android
This system has two options for removing the contents:
- Reset of settings in the phone menu;
- Formatting in the Recovery menu.
In both cases, you get a completely clean system, as if just bought a phone and turned it on for the first time. However, the reset of settings through the menu is performed in the parameters, and the Recovery menu will have to be opened with special combinations.
How to format the phone through settings reset
This option is a little simpler than the second, since you do not need to look for a combination to enter the system menu of the smartphone.
To do this, you need to go to the phone menu and find the “Settings” icon.
In it, find the section “Archives and Reset”. In some versions of Android, the section “Reset and backup” may occur.
Now you can see two similar items: “Set of settings” and “data reset”. They perform two different formatting. In the first case, you will drop only the parameters and settings that you yourself installed in your phone. In this case, pictures, applications and multimedia will not suffer. The second option performs full formatting, you need to click on it.
You will see a long list of all accounts that will be deleted from your phone. Rewrite them until it became too late.
At the bottom there will be a large long button “Discharge of the device”. After pressing, the removal process will begin.
The phone can restart on its own.
If you have Samsung Kies installed on your computer, then you can delete the contents in it by simply clicking on the formatting button. Do not forget to install all the last drivers and updates.
Formatting via recovery
A more complex process awaits you in the Recovery menu, however, if you act exactly according to the instructions, then everything will go smoothly and quickly.
You need to stick a special key combination to download the Android system menu. On most phones, this is the volume key and the “home” button.
If it does not work, then try the power and volume key. It is better to find this information on the Internet for your phone model.
- As soon as you clamp the correct combination, you will see the Dark Recovery menu. Everything in it is in English;
- Control the volume keys down and up;
- Choose a “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” item;
- After that, the phone can reload several times.
Now you can re -install applications and enter the account.
How to format the iPhone
In apple products, everything is also quite simple:
- Enter the phone menu and find the settings;
- There will be a “reset” point here, enter it;
- Select “Full Data Deleting”;
- Confirm your choice.
The phone will reload, after which you will have to re -enter the user accounts.
Please note that when formatting any operating system, it is better for you to back up before that. So you will save on the cloud storage all the photos, phone numbers, accounts, accounts.
