How to connect the Internet to the phone

Mobile Internet is indispensable in those places where Wi-Fi wireless communication is missing. Before proceeding directly to the mobile phone settings, make sure your tariff plan provides the ability to use the Internet. Today, the lack of Internet access is rather an exception, but the conditions of use differ depending on the mobile operator and the specific tariff plan.

As a rule, as soon as the subscriber inserts the SIM card into the device, within a few minutes the operator sends messages with settings to access the Internet. It remains only to save them. But not always the automatic settings are the most optimal and cheap option for the subscriber. For example, in the settings, the GPRS-WAP access point can be specified instead of GPRS Internet, which will make an account for payment of mobile communications more impressive.

In order to check the settings and then turn on the mobile Internet, call the "Settings" menu (here and then it's about the phones running Android OS). Next, find the "Mobile Networks" submenu. In the "Access Point" you can make sure that your phone is configured to access the GPRS Internet. Otherwise, the correct settings can be found on the mobile operator's website. After that, you can put a tick opposite the "Mobile data" item. As soon as this feature is activated, the "E" icon appears in the status bar. Disable the Internet by re-pressing on "Mobile data".

Compared to the mobile Internet, Wi-Fi technology provides great opportunities - high speed and smaller cost of traffic. Therefore, if you can connect to the Wi-Fi network. Open the "Settings" menu window and find Wi-Fi item. Nearby places the slider switch to be translated into the right position. With a Wi-Fi enabled, the switch has a green color. Next will appear with a list of available connections.

Select the connection you know (home, working) known to you and, if necessary, enter a password (recorded in the documentation for the router). In public places, the Wi-Fi connection is usually not protected by a password. The Wi-Fi icon appears in the status bar.
