The process of laying a mosaic is a real art of recreation of complex compositions from small "chips". However, for the destruction of painstaking labor, one incorrect movement is enough, since this material heard a very capricious, not even forgiving even the smallest errors. To lay the sheets of mosaic, stocking tool:

A building mixer that needs to be kneading a solution;
Convenient trowel;
A comb with teeth whose thickness is about four millimeters, which is needed for applying adhesive composition;
Measuring tools - level, meter, corner of 90 degrees;
Rubber grater.

At the first stage, careful preparation of the working surface is carried out. Clean it from dust and garbage. In addition, it should be remembered that mosaic glued only for a smooth base, so it must be seized. Then draw it out for the correct arrangement of the finishing material: placing 3 sheets on the base (they must be at the same distance between themselves), make the vertical and horizontal marks using a meter and a corner. Rate work - it will turn out a grid that simplifies mosaic laying. It is recommended to install the appropriate temperature mode - 5-30 degrees above zero. When lining the pool, do not forget to create a waterproofing layer with the required installation of the reinforcing mesh.

When choosing an adhesive composition for mosaics, take into account the type of surface. For example, it will take a white solution for a glass mosaic - its use is advisable so that the coating does not acquire an undesirable shade. To apply the solution, use the edge of the spatula. The coating area should not exceed the area, which is equal to the location of nine sheets of mosaic. Excess the composition is cleaned with the same spatula, only a toothed side, which is also used to spin it. It is important not to cover the whole working surface with glue, as the film will arise on it.

Consider in detail how the mosaic is stacked on a paper basis:

Attach sheets to the solution to the base so that the paper side is above. Uniformly distribute the solution with a special spatula, moving the sheet with it. To obtain smooth seams, it is necessary to carefully withstand the distance between the adjacent sheets of the mosaic.
Having finished putting the second sector, it is necessary to return to the first again to flush the paper. For this, the wet sponge is perfect. So paper is easier separated from the surface. Act carefully - the solution has not yet managed to frost.
At the next stage, it is necessary to remove the paper from the sheets of mosaic, starting to handle it from the top corner. Drive the material diagonally, it is recommended to act close to the surface. So "chips" will not move from the place.
After removing the paper, the sheets of mosaic and seams between them should be aligned. This is done with a small spatula.
If after such manipulations in some places made glue, then remove the excess, without waiting for it when he dries.
In addition, individual mosaic pieces should be aligned, if there was a need for this. To do this, make several light shocks of a polystyrene grater.
The remaining sectors are stacked similarly.
After cladding the entire surface, wait the day until the solution is dry, and only then you can start a grout.

If there is a need to cut the mosaic, you can use scissors or a knife to make a strip, as well as special tongs to cut one segment.

To lay a mosaic on the grid, act differently. On the back of the sheet there is a grid made of fiberglass. You need to evenly immerse it into the solution by pressing the sheet with a rubber spatula. After you can apply a sheet to the bottom, so that its front side is addressed to the top, giving it to the spatula. It is important to monitor the seams that formed between the sheets of the material corresponded to the distance between the individual "chips".

It is possible to begin to apply grouts only after a day when the adhesive solution is freezed:

First, it is recommended to wash the facing surface. This is required to remove the remnants of the adhesive composition.
Start the seams using a mixture consisting of colored grouts and the additives made on the basis of latex.
