How to make liquid wallpaper

Due to its structure and diversity of color design, liquid wallpapers are used everywhere: they cover the walls in apartments, offices and even economic premises. For their manufacture and further application, you can use the help of specialists who will make everything quickly and professionally, but you can try everything to make it yourself and save some money.

1
To make liquid wallpaper itself, you need to know what is included in their composition. If you do not go into details, then this is a mixture of glue, dye and small fibers made of natural cotton or cellulose, that is, finely naked cotton wool. This mixture is thoroughly mixed and cried into one package. If your task is to make liquid wallpaper from such a finished mixture, then everything you need is a large clean capacity and flowing water. As a capacity, it is best to use a large bucket, a pelvis or a saucepan, as one bag of dry mixture requires eight liters of water.

2
First, pour the contents of the package into a predetermined container, then pour it with 5-6 liters of pure flow water. Wait a few minutes until the water is absorbed into the material, and start mixing it until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Mix the best hand, as the use of a mixer or other similar devices will damage cellulose fibers and loss of their qualitative characteristics. If it seems to you that the mass is too solid and dry, plot the water with small portions, about 100-150 grams, until they achieve the desired consistency.

3
If you want to make liquid wallpaper from scratch - it will take a little longer. There are 2 options for their manufacture: the first represents only their imitation, and the second is a full-fledged independent manufacture. Let's start with the first. Purchase a bag of putty, then dig it with water according to the instructions on the package. Then add the main color to the finished mixture and mix it thoroughly with its mixer. Mass must acquire a smooth homogeneous color. Then add a slightly different tinting paint and check the mixer in the mixture several times. You will have a homogeneous mass with streaks of another color. Using a spatula of 25-30 centimeters long, evenly apply it to the wall, and after it dries, cover with a transparent varnish. This will strengthen the coating and give it a pleasant shine, and externally it will not be different from real liquid wallpaper.

4
For the manufacture of full-fledged liquid wallpapers, you will need paper, a bit of caloring paint, glue and water. Spice paper on small pieces, place in a bucket and pour with water. In this state, leave it for 1-1.5 hours, after which we thoroughly mix with the help of a mixer to obtain a homogeneous mass.

5
Add some caloring paint to it. And mix until the whole mass becomes uniform color. Then pumped in it plaster and mix again. This will increase coupling properties, and wallpapers will become more durable. Gypsum can be replaced by wallpaper glue, bustilate or acrylic plaster.

6
Then, using a wide metal spatula, apply wallpaper on the wall. Finally, the coating solidifies somewhere after 24 hours.

Liquid wallpapers made with their own hands will become a real decoration of your home and give it a special warmth and comfort. And taking into account numerous variants of the tinting and the possibility of adding various additional components to the homemade wallpaper, such as quartz sand, mica or decorative sequins - the homemade manufacture of liquid wallpaper has a truly limitless space for creativity.
