Usually after buying any tool, sooner or later, but still a question appears, and how to care for him. In wise consumers, he arises in the head before the first trouble, that is, breakdowns and repairs. What gasoline to use, what oil for chainsaws to buy, so that it serves a long time and reliably, to pay attention to - this is what we will tell in this article.
Oil composition - viscosity index. Gasoline saws are standardly equipped with two-stroke engines, so there are 2-stroke engine oils for them (in no case are not four-stroke, but this later). The product itself contains basic oil and various additives, that is, peculiar solvents that improve not only mixing the oil with fuel (gasoline), but also spray it to the piston zone, which is characterized by the so-called "viscosity index". So, choose oil strictly according to the instructions from the company that made the saw, where this "index" is defined. We advise not to conduct experiments so that the motor "does not die" on the first day. Why can not be used four-stroke oil? It's all about the work principle. The operating cycle of the two-stroke engine, as already visible by the name, consists of 2 times, so its piston is lubricating the fuel mixture without a residue (there is no oil crankcase). The oil in 4-stroke engines does not fall into the combustion chamber and is intended for long-term operation, its composition is calculated on the maximum length of lubricant, and not almost instant combustion, therefore ash is not so important here. After the first use of 4-stroke oil in a 2-stroke motor, and on the pistons, and on the walls of the combustion chamber, the soot, erasing all the surfaces of the cylinders, as a grainy sandpaper. That's basically it. Single Tip: For dosage oil during the creation of the fuel mixture, use medical syringes. At first, it is not worth the masters and pour it "on the eye", since the disadvantage of motor oil is fraught with the "murder" piston. Next, always try to add it to 10-30 grams more than indicated in the instructions for foreign tools, as often domestic products in terms of quality differ from Western counterparts (the instruction has written it for them).
