Replacing strings is necessary not only when they are torn, but and when the guitar ceases to sound beautifully. When you fail, just one string makes sense to acquire a new set and replace all the strings at once.
1
Starting with a neat dismantling of old strings: it is necessary to do it carefully, in no case trying to break or cut the string. This will complicate the procedure, and can also damage the instrument and damage the unlucky musician. It is recommended to replace the strings on one, immediately putting the string from the new set instead of the old: this will allow you to leave the neck under load and prevents the possible "slipping" system (relevant for the electric guitar with Floyd Rose machines).
2
Strings are removed as follows: Rings with wounded three lower strings are circling counterclockwise, thereby weakened strings. Then with the help of pliers, pegs are pulled out, which screw the strings to the stand. Rings with bass strings rotate clockwise and removed in the same way.
3
If you put the strings of another caliber, for example, a set of 011 instead of 010, it is important to check how well they easily in the necks at the head of the grid: perhaps the slots will have to modify the proper or even replacing the thresholds during the transition to thinner strings. The slots themselves before installing the string you need to gently treat with a graphite lubricant or a soft simple pencil.
4
Many controversy arises around the winding strings on the slices. Professionals advise to wind up 2-3 turns: it is enough for an excellent fixation of the string, even with a decrease in the system, and at the same time does not clutch the ring. When the string is fixed, the "tail" can be neatly shorten by the windows.
5
For a larger "perfection", the strings need to skip the tail under the string on the side of the grind and to distinguish it to the side opposite to the direction of rotation of the rod. It turns out a kind of lock, after which it is worth continuing the winding to the base of the ring. This reliably holds the string, and will also reduce the load on the threshold and extends the life of sall mechanisms.
6
After the string is installed, it gives a shrinkage, knocking down the system. To eliminate this effect, it is enough to pry a string with the pads of the fingers and gently pull it away from the grid along the entire length from the case into several techniques, from the end of the grid to the head, and then set up. After 2-3 repetitions of such a string procedure, "SYSTEM" is firmly and will not crawl.
Adhering to all stages, you can easily replace all old strings to new ones. Your guitar will sound in a new way even without a special setup.
