How to close the crack in the windshield

Saving several dozen rubles and bought a low-quality product, you risk getting the entire glass replacement.

To prevent increasing the crack, captivate it. To do this, take a drill, and using a diamond drill, drill small recesses at a distance of a few millimeters from the ends of the crack. Easy tapping on the glass, bring the crack to the deployed recesses. With the help of a softwood or brush, get the whole garbage from the glass. Using the car pump or compressor, blow the whole garbage from cracks.

Using a special polymer composition from a glass repair kit, a crack and deepening drilled earlier. The polymer must be applied using a special device - an injector that works on the same principle as the syringe. The injector filled with polymer is attached over the crack itself. Use suction cups or double-sided tape for attachment. During the crack processing, follow the lack of air bubbles in the polymer. In the hardened polymer, bubbles are clearly visible. Check the quality of application. Machine from the inside of the car - all errors will be clearly noticeable. To accelerate the process of drying the applied polymer, the ultraviolet lamp is perfectly suitable, or simply fade the machine in the sun.

The last stage is polishing the glass. Even after the perfect application of the polymer, you will have to polish the glass. For polishing, use gay paste or other similar material material. Wash and dry the glass. Apply polishing paste with the help of a special circle fixed on grinding or drill. Move the circle over the entire surface of the glass is strictly perpendicular to the close-up crack. Every few minutes clean the glass from the residues of polishing paste. Together with the paste, you will remove the fine particles of glass, which will significantly reduce the likelihood of scratches during polishing. In no case do not press the grinder. Even a small press can lead to removal of a layer of whole glass, because of which the surface can become uneven and will distort the reality. After the polishing is completed, just rinse with glass with shampoo.
