How to install a driver to the printer

Connecting and configuring the printer operation, as well as any other additional equipment for the PC, assumes the installation of the driver - special software that integrates the printer into the overall configuration of the equipment of this computer and allows another to use it in its work. Consider the main ways to install drivers for printers.

First of all, it is worth noting that some printers themselves install the necessary drivers on the PC automatically. We just need to connect the printer to the computer, connect it to the power supply and turn on. The built-in utility will automatically determine the operating system used on the PC and install the driver. The progress of this process will be displayed on the computer screen. The printer itself with such a function is usually not equipped with discs with branded software.

Otherwise, the printer delivery kit will surely be one or more CDs with drivers for different operating systems. We only need to insert the desired disk into the drive and, following the instructions, perform automatic installation of additional software, including the driver. If there is no disc with the proprietary software for the printer for some reason, do not despair. We look at the printer's name of his model and start searching for drivers on the Internet, for example, on the manufacturer's website, where the most actual version of the driver for our equipment will be guaranteed.
