It is said that colorful packaging is almost half of the gift. Knowing a paper box manufacturing technology, you can make it in any size using paper that is at hand. This method is particularly suitable for impulsive surprise when packaging is required for a small gift.

Materials for the box:
two squares of decorative paper (one - 33 cm x 33 cm, the other - 34.20 x 34.20 cm);
scissors;
simple pencil (or other tool with a rounded blunt tip for pressing folds);
adhesive pencil or tape (optional).

To make a box with a lid (12 cm x 12 cm and 6.30 cm high), prepare two sheets of colorful paper. The size of the square for the bottom must be 1.2 cm less lid. When folding, the box will be on a third less from the original size of the square. For the manufacture of medium density paper suitable, although the package will turn out of cardboard squares. When cutting the squares, make sure that the angles and side of it are smooth.

Put the paper on the work surface and fold it in half, the edge to the edge. When the corners and the edges coincide, gently click on the fold with your fingers, and then go through the pencil or knuckles of your fingers.

Open the paper and turn it 90 degrees. Wrap another opposite edge to the top.

Connect the corners with each other from the opposite sides. Before fixing the fold, check twice so that the edges are accurately converged. Open paper and repeat the procedure with two other ends.

Having opening the paper, generate each angle up so that they meet in the center. Put the fold and fix them.

Fold the lower and top edge of the square to the point of crossing the corners. Click on folds and lock them.

Open the paper and turn it 90 degrees. Repeat step 8 with opposite edges of the workpiece.

At this stage, your workpiece should look like this. Now it's time to hide the edges and form a box. Open two corners opposite to each other.

Lift the "walls" of the box along two folded edges using thumbs up. Do not make new folds, just follow the existing bends, and the box will start folding.

Click on the tongues, lifting paper to form a third wall. Then get the paper down and the edge of the wall. The angular point should go straight to the middle of the box.

Repeat movement (up and forward), creating the last wall of the box. As soon as four walls are installed, press the inner part of the packing in the corners to give it a clear form. You can fix the ends of the box on the underside with a small amount of glue or use a piece of scotch.

Now repeat the same steps on the other square of the paper.
By connecting two blanks together, you will get ready-made gift packaging. After examining the simple technique of making a paper box, you can quickly pack a surprise into it of any size.
