Watering in houseplants requires a special, almost scientific approach. Many novice flowers make two most dangerous mistakes leading to loss of flowers. The first is an excessive watering, because of which the roots are overloaded. The second is to cut the soil, which is also detrimental for plants. How to water the flowers properly, so that they remain lush and green, learn in this article.

Each type of colors needs a different amount of water. It all depends on the region, from where the plant comes from. There is an opinion that for plants it is useful when they are watered often and small portions. But this statement is true not always for all colors. If three drops of water fall into a large pot of earth, even if every day, they still do not reach the roots. This happens because the inexperienced flower wets only the top layer of the soil, and the moisture evaporates quickly.
2
Before determining the optimal amount of water for watering, estimate the state of the soil. One glance is not enough here. Check the Earth to the touch. To do this, immerse your finger into the soil, just not too close to the flower stalk, otherwise damage the vital roots. If you feel a wet soil when deepening a finger, then watering the plant is not needed. Dry contact signals that the plant urgently requires watering.
3
If you determine the degree of humidity of the soil to the touch is difficult (this is often with allociasia or begonia), then you should independently develop watering mode for each flower. In this case, keep in mind that, depending on the time of the year, the needs of colors are different. In the summer, the thirst for plants increases, as in just life in a dry period. In winter, water the plants less often.

To the question than to water, there is a general rule for all colors and regions: you can not pour into flower pots water from the tap. Harmful impurities contained in tap water can be disadvantaged for gentle and capricious colors. Before watering, defend the water more than a day at room temperature and only then use for watering.

In some cities, water is so dirty that even upholding and boiling does not help. Such water drinks live beings, including plants, it is impossible in any way. Also, the colors are not suitable and bottled water from the stores. It does not have the necessary trace elements. Preservatives are poured, although they are absolutely extra for consumption of both people and plants.

The best water for watering is rainwater. It is convenient to collect if you live outside the city in a private house. Urban efforts are not suitable because it is saturated with harmful substances produced by cars in megalopolis. If you think about where to take water in the winter, then remember about the snow. It can be simply dialing in a bucket and melt near the battery or fireplace.

If you are not too tough from the crane, you can simply boil or filter it before irrigating. Depending on the kind of plant, moderate or frequent watering is required. What does it mean? In the first case, it is enough to pour flowers with a large volume of water once a week. With frequent watering, you use a small cup of water every second or third day.

After you have poured flower, water gets into the pallet. It is merged in an hour two after "water procedures." Old flowers to transplant in a pot more, as soon as notice that water when watering is instantly goes into the pallet. This indicates that the roots filled all the space in the pot, and the flower can die. Young borrowers, transplanted quite recently, not worth the water. Better on a day or two, leave them alone, without outside interference, let them move away from stress.

If you are going to leave home for a long time, and to guide to care for plants no one, you can build an automatic irrigation system. To do this, put on the elevation of the pelvis with water. From it, stretch to the pots with the flowers of the tube. One end to lower in the water, and another shove into the ground.
Such a self-made automatic irrigation system requires individual testing. Therefore, make it a few days before departure to check whether the pots are not overwhelmed. If necessary, you will have time to adjust the construction.
