Which bleach is better

Mass household bleaching of fabrics is a relatively recent “luxury”. Only from the beginning of the last century, the housewives got the opportunity to whiten things on their own. Modern whitening funds are divided into two main groups: chlorine -containing and oxygen. Each remedy has its own pros and cons.

1
Chlorine -containing bleaches usually have a liquid form, the basis of these products is sodium hypochlorite. In addition, such bleaches often include substances that tint the fabric with special fluorescent dyes. They are able to reflect the light and create the illusion of snowiness.

2
An unambiguous plus of chlorine bleach is the ability to use in cold water and without additional boiling. These funds are inexpensive, and also have disinfectants.

3
It is worth remembering that chlorine, combined with other substances, becomes quite aggressive in relation to fabrics, so its frequent use leads to the rapid wear of the material. The use of chlorine is permissible only for linen and cotton fabrics. It is forbidden to bleach delicate fabrics, woolen things, silk and synthetic. And also do not use chlorine -containing bleaching in washing machines.

4
The smell of chloride is unpleasant for many, and someone can even develop an allergic reaction.

5
Oxygen -containing whitening in the household chemical market “Newchers”. Sold both in liquid and in powder form. Liquid products are essentially a regular solution of hydrogen peroxide with different additives. These funds are no less effective in chlorine, but much more delicate. Oxygen bleach can be used both for natural tissues (wool, silk) and synthetic.

6
The main difference from chlorine -containing substances is the ability to use with colored fabrics. Active elements act only on the dirt, not spoiling dyes. On the contrary, they only refresh the color of the product.

7
Oxygen-containing bleaching in cold water (about 30-40 degrees) cope well with pollution. At the same time, this type of means is hypoallergenic and has no unpleasant odor. Can be used in washing machines with powder.

8
Liquid oxygen bleaching is quite short -lived, so a good result can be expected only from fresh products. Powder whitters have a longer shelf life.

9
It is recommended to use the sequential use of washing powder and oxygen bleach. Therefore, for perfect whiteness and purity, first it is better to wash your linen or soak. And only after - bleach.

10
The disadvantage of oxygen -containing bleaches can only be called a higher price than that of chlorine.

When buying a bleach, adhere to simple rules: check the manufacturing date, carefully study the instructions for use with various fabrics, divide linen - colored fabrics from light, rude ones - from delicate.
