How to insulate a metal door

To ensure greater heat insulation, it is desirable to fill the metal ribs of the stiffness of the door by mounting foam. To do this, in each edge at a distance of 40cm from each other, drill holes such that the tube from the spray can fit there. When all holes are ready, in turn insert the tube in them and fill the foam profiles.

When all from the inside is filled with foam, screw to the doors of the Fiberboard. To do not drill holes under the screws in advance, use the surname screws. Insert the bit into the screwdriver or drill, attach sheet sheet to the door canvas, fix the screw on the bit and twist one by one throughout the perimeter, three screws for each side and three in the transverse profile. Check if the Fiberboard is somewhere "departs", secure there another screw. Now process the edges of the Fiberboard sheet with a knife, and then align fine-grained sandpaper.

Now fill the gap between the door frame and the door itself. To do this, remove the protective film with the adhesive side and glue the frame closer to the back profile. If the foam rubber turned out to be too thick, cut one line at an angle so that the side of the apartment was the big party.

To give the inside of the doors of aesthetics, on its surface you can mount a decorative coating of plastic or wood covered with a varnish. As a temporary or economy option, you can use the self-adhesive film.
