How to remove iTunes.

The iTunes media player is installed with additional components that run along with the main program and can sometimes interfere with the operation of the system and the user. In this case, it is necessary to delete a program with all associated files.

Preparation for removal:

  • the keyboard key "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Del" Run the "Windows Task Manager" utility;
  • open the Processes tab;
  • alternately, mark all the processes related to iTunes, for example, Apple Software Update, iTunes Tutorials and click the "Remove Task" button so that when deleting files, the system has not made a warning about the impossibility of deletion due to the activity of applications.

To remove the iTunes media player:

  • enter through the menu "Start" to the "Toolbar" folder;
  • open the Installation and Removal Program dialog box;
  • delete all the list of programs containing in the title "ITunes", refusing to restart the computer.

Removing additional components should occur in a specific sequence so as not to cause conflict in the system and delete all the files. This sequence is as follows: iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, Apple Application Support. To complete the operation, restart the computer.

When installing the program and its components are placed by default in the Program Files folder, some in "Common Files".
