If you forgot where you saved the folder or file, do not despair, the data will not be lost. Your computer is so smart that myself will help you find the necessary documents and indicate the place of placement.
1
If you want to find the program installed on the computer, first look at the "desktop" a shortcut that could be created during installation. If it is available - look at the Program Label properties. To do this, hover the mouse to the label, right-click. Select "Properties", go to the tab "Label". In the column "Working Folder" indicates the location of this program (usually on the disk "C").
2
If you are looking for a conventional folder (or file), use the assistant that is available on your computer. Click the Start button on the left below the toolbar, select Search.
3
You will have a program that can find files, folders (and not only) for specified search parameters. On the left pane of the window, you can find detailed instructions of actions to be executed by the user in order to find the folder.
4
Available several search criteria. You can use everyone at the same time, several or some of them. It all depends on what information about the desired folder is known to you. If you are not sure about certain things, you should not specify them in the search parameters - the system will simply give a negative result if you make an error. For example, you can specify the name of the file (or part of the name you know exactly). Remember: better less, but correctly, the more, but at random.
5
If you are looking for a file, you can specify a separate phrase or the word that is precisely contained in it (again, according to the "accurate minimum" principle). To speed up the process, you can narrow the search boundaries. To do this, specify in the column "Search in" possible locations of the folder (file). Naturally, it is appropriate when you definitely know what disk the document is saved. If you are not sure - check the entire computer. You will spend a little more time, but guaranteed to get the result.
6
If you wish, you can specify when the last changes in the file were made. By default, the check mark is opposite the Count "Date of Unknown", but you can set your value in the parameters (last week, last month), or specify the time range.
7
If information about the size of the file is known, you can also specify it. But if the data is approximate, and you are not sure, it is better not to mislead the program. Let it look for all files.
8
Well, the last thing you can specify are the additional parameters of the folder (file). For example, you can specify the type of file (folders), set a search in hidden, invested, system folders, external storages, and even with regard to the register.
9
When you specify all search options, click "Find". The program will start working by comparing all folders and files with specified search conditions. The result will affect the right side of the angle: you will see a folder (or several suitable conditions), which is looking for, its location. Now find it will not be difficult. If you are not satisfied with the search result, click the "Back" button on the left pane and change the search parameters.
10
If you are trying to find a file that created quite recently, do as follows. Click the Start button on the left below the toolbar, select "Recent Documents". A list of documents that have been changed recently will appear. You can clasp by any of them to open it. That's just the address you will not see. But you can save an open file anywhere else on your computer.
It's not difficult to look for folders on your computer. You can check it at least now!
