How to create a local network between computer and laptop

The reasons for combining a computer, a laptop in one local home network can be various motivators. For example, to play in a network of two users, if you need to extract material from a PC to a laptop or vice versa. But how to build this local network? There are two approaches - by cable connection, using Wi-Fi.

To create a wired home network between the laptop and PC, you should, of course, buy a network cable. If you have installed "Windows 7", then you need two such cables to make a computer and laptop after turning on-off, reboots detected each other.

Before combining devices to a common network, check whether network cards are installed in them. In the latest models of computer systems, there are such cards in "Mothermnel". You are not satisfied with the cable connection, then buy a Wi-Fi adapter. It is connected to PCI or USB ports.
