Proper nutrition largely determines the state of our health. A balanced combination of plant and animal food allows you to get the body all the necessary vitamins and nutrients. But there are cases when for reasons independent of us we cannot use one or another food. It is that such cases refers to the time of fasting.
The diet of people who observe the post is largely different from their daily nutrition, since it is limited by the hard requirements established by the Church. Many believe that all these prohibitions are reduced to the banal exclusion of animal food or, in other words, to vegetarianism, but it is not. The basic requirements of the Power Organization are as follows:- It is impossible to eat dairy products, eggs and meat. Fish can only eat on certain holidays: Palm Resurrection and Annunciation. A little lean oil can be added to dishes on holidays, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays.
- It is forbidden to smoke and take alcohol. Red wine, symbolizing the blood of Christ, in small quantities you can drink on weekends and holidays.
- All food must be taken at a time. On weekends and holidays allowed two meals.
- Full failure to use substitute products. For example, it is impossible to eat soy, replacing it with meat.
Holding power rules during the post will help not only improve overall well-being, but also to clean the body from harmful slags. But, despite all the rigidity of the requirements, know that their strict compliance is not required from pregnant women, children, older people, as well as people with weakened health and chronic diseases.
