For the average person, the situation is rare when numbers that do not belong to Russian operators appear on its call list. And yet there are situations when you need to call the number from another country, or determine where the incoming call was made. For this there are several ways.
Learn the country by phone using sites
There are many sites providing this service for free. You only need to enter the phone number. Here are examples of such sites:

- htmlweb.ru/geo/telcod.php;
- http://senderbox.net/detect_country.html;
- http://www.geo-phone.ru/.
Learn the country by phone manually
You can identify the country and manually if you have a table of telephone codes of the world. Such are often found in diaries that you can purchase in a bookstore. Also, they can be found on the Internet:
- kodtelefona.ru/country;
- hella.ru/code/codeworld.htm;
- ostranah.ru/_lists/Phone_codes.php;
- www.citycode.ru/;
- infoarena.ru/node/68.
Find numbers going to the number (1-3 digits after the plus) in the table and see which country called you from.
Remember that often incoming calls from other countries (especially not related to the CIS) paid. It is unlikely that such a call will cost you a state, but it is better to be saving and use free Internet calls using Skype or another program.
