How to make a scolina of brick

Carefully think over and prepare a place to build a smokehouse. Clean the territory from garbage, herbs, branches and leaves. A small smokehouse is poured by the corresponding foundation - the depth of 30-40 cm will be quite enough. If the smokehouse is planned to be impressive size (for frequent and mass use - production), then it is necessary to pour the foundation to the depth of the freezing of earth cover, using the reinforced concrete.

1
Prepare the following materials for the construction of brick smokels: refractory brick, clay, one or more grids for smoking products (depending on the planned size of the construction and its immediate destination), wooden door, metal bars, metal cover, plumb, spatula, hammer, culma, shovel, pelvis or trough for clay solution, roulette, level.

Provide a place in the ground to install the future chimney. The hole length of the closed part of the channel should be 25-30 cm, the width is 35 cm, the height is 25 cm. Build a smokehouse from refractory brick (it is more expensive than usual, but it doesn't crack it over time) or the red clay, silicate does not fit .

The smoked camera is at the end of the line and should not exceed a height of 150 cm. Construct the camera by masonry "on the edge".

For the upcoming channel masonry, roll a small 55 cm wide and 35 cm wide. Be sure to take into account the moment that the furnace (combustion chamber) cannot be placed above the smoke chamber. If you build a smokehouse on the hills, then the additional actions do not have to do. If there is no hill in your case, then the chimney canal must be done with a slope of about 8 degrees.
The bottom is needed well to ravibly and start laying a brick, setting up two bricks in length. It is desirable to provide a predetermining solution for masonry and give preference to clay mixtures that do not extract toxins during heating and are not destroyed.

We proceed to the masonry of the chimney walls. The walls are erected on a laid brick basis by the "On Rib" method. The rebirth of the seams in all rows should be identical. In the end result we get a 25 cm wall of brick masonry in 2 rows.

6
We proceed to the channel overlapping. Perform the overlap can be brick. In people who have some experience in construction, there may be a logical question: "How to overlap in a similar way if the channel width is 35 cm, and the length of the standard brick is 25 cm?". In fact, everything is simple - we overlap not flat overlap, but "house". Such a laying allows you to overlap with bricks in length. If possible, the channel overlapping also perform on a clay solution for the highest strength. All passable gaps and holes are mandatory formed with mortar.

The final step is set by the main element - the smoke chamber. Well, if when installing the camera, the channel goes deep into no more than 30 cm.

After completing all the above stages, give the structure to quickly dry and stand for several days. After put it off all the soil layer at 15 cm - to the level of the smoke chamber.

If you build a large smokehouse, be sure to consider the chimney valve. Such equipment will allow you to adjust the stream of smoke and the smoking temperature. Planning the construction, provide in terms of small windows for ventilation.
