How to make a globe from paper with your own hands

The globe is not only useful, but can also be an excellent addition to an interesting interior. It turns out that this necessary thing can be done with your own hands and at the same time you will not need to spend too much money on the purchase of materials.

Materials for the globe

If you or your child decide to study the water -type spaces in more detail, as well as continents, it will be more interesting and useful if the globe is in your hands or just before you. If you decide to make such an item with your own hands, then you can not only study what you are interested in, but also feel like a real creator of our planet.

This is a very interesting, informative and useful process in which you can acquire the skills of a real and experienced needlewoman. It is impossible to call the manufacture of the globe a very simple process, but at the same time, everyone who decides to do this will be able to cope with the task.

Let's first consider the process of creating a globe using very simple material, namely, paper.

From the very beginning, you need to prepare a workplace. The working surface must be cleaned of various kinds of pollution. After that, wipe it dry and, of course, cover it with oilcloth or newspapers (in general, that it will not be a pity to throw it away later).

Now you need to arm yourself with the necessary materials and tools. Here we will need:

• Hollow-ware. Several pots and containers of medium depth will become excellent assistants in this process. Do not forget to prepare a spoon, it will need to mix the prepared compounds.
• Water. Five glasses of boiled and slightly heated liquid will be enough.
• Flour - 250 g (can be poured into a standard glass).
• Newspapers. Here you can also use ordinary consumer -type paper.
• Balloon. It is better to take a round ball so that it looks like a globe.
• Ground mixture
• Paint and brushes (here you can use acrylic paints and gouache, only you will need to dilute them with ordinary PVA glue).
• Hot -type glue and scissors (sharp)
• Rolon of toilet paper (we need exclusively a sleeve)
• Plastic plate, you can also use the stand for the cake

DIY globe

As in any other business, for a start, we need the basis, and in our case it is a model of a ball. For these purposes, we will need an absolutely round balloon. In this case, you need to choose the size of the ball as the globe in the end you want to get. So, the process of creating a globe looks like this:

• Inflate a round ball and tie it without a thread, twisting its end around you.
• Take an item that will become a stand for the future globe. It can be a glass or other dishes.
• In order for our globe to be very similar to the original, it is necessary that the ball is flattened. If you take an oval balloon, you just need to inflate it not for the entire volume, but only to the middle.

• In order for the set targets to be embodied in reality, you need to make an adhesive solution, it is also called a Clayster. The recipe for this solution is to mix certain ingredients. For preparation, you need to pour previously cooked water into the pan and put it on fire. While the water will boil, it is necessary to pour flour into another container, pour it with liquid and knead the dough. After that, connect the contents of the two pots and mix all the components thoroughly.
• We put the cooked mixture on the window so that it, as expected, has cooled.
• The next stage - we draw a strip from the previously prepared newspapers, their symmetry does not matter.
• The inflated balloon must be lubricated with vegetable oil or if this is not at hand, then with petroleum jelly.
• Now it is necessary to moisten every piece of the newspaper in an adhesive cooled substance and in turn apply them to the inflated ball.
• Thus, it will be necessary to apply several layers from the newspaper to the ball. In this case, it is very important not to forget to leave a small hole on the surface of the ball, through which we will subsequently get it out of the globe.
• Now leave the ball to dry. If you want to make a beautiful and dense globe, then you can repeat the process of wrapping a ball with a newspaper many times, letting each layer completely dry.

When the globe layout dries, it will be necessary to pierce the balloon and get it from a home -made globe.

We decorate the globe

Now it's time to decorate our layout to make it like a real globe:

• The first thing to do is cover our layout.

• The next step is to paint our planet in blue. After that, draw all the continents and other sections of the planet sushi with pencil.
• Color all sections of land in accordance with the original globe. If there is a desire, it will be possible to sign all the names on the globe and other designations.
