How to plant tomatoes in open ground correctly

Tomatoes are thermal-loving plants that are popular all over the world. After the seedlings have grown, it needs to be put in open ground. But to perform this procedure, it is important to know some nuances in the preparation of a plot, soil and planting material.

1
When do you need to plant tomatoes?

Plant landing is a responsible event that must be spent in spring. The most optimal month for warm regions is May, and for the cold - June. The main thing is that the temperature day is 22-25 ° C, and at night at least 15 ° C. At the same time, the indicators must be maintained for several days. If the soil temperature is different, then seedlings do not fit. When the temperature is reduced to 5 ° C, the growth of seedlings may stop. Therefore, it is necessary to cover plants with a film.

Tomatoes are better after lunch when the sun is not so active. Optimal time is the evening.

2
Selection of landing plot

You need to choose a plot very carefully, because the future harvest depends on it. Remember, tomatoes love light and warm. For this reason, the plot should not include trees, fence that block sunlight. The perfect place is near the white wall, which reflects the rays on the bushes. It is not recommended to plant tomatoes where the peppers grew a year ago, potatoes. The listed cultures should not be grown near the tomatoes, because it increases the risks of the behavior of the phytoofluoro. Tomatoes can be grown after onions, cabbage and mustard, thanks to this, they adapt faster.

3
Preparation of the site

The land plot should be prepared from autumn: to switch, easily (organic substances (7 kg), superphosphates (40 g), lime (0.7 kg)). After wintering, it is necessary to turn the earth again, constantly loose, remove weeds, to once again feel. For 2-3 days before planting, enter nitrogen fertilizers to the site, and in a week - to treat the soil with copper vitrios. This will exclude the emergence of fungal diseases on young stems.

4
Preparation of seedlings

If seedling is small bushes, it means it is ready for landing. Too overgrown plants should be trimmed by lower sheets. And if the apparent roots appeared, they will provide better nutrition:

  • The processing of copper chloroks will protect seedlings from fungi, and the best survival rate will provide watering with a solution of manganese.
  • Immediately before landing, young plants need to pour. This will improve the extraction of planting material from the pot. You do not need to get a plant from the container in advance, because it can begin to wither that weakens its growth.
  • Make a hole, make a humus, ash of a tree.
  • Plant seedlings in the well. At the same time, the roots must be straightened down.
  • Pour and sprinkle with dry soil.

5
Landing options

When disembarking in any way it is important to monitor the distance between the plants. It should be sufficient not to darken each other. Between the rows retreat 50 cm, and between the recesses - 40 cm. Approximately 0.3 m square. It is necessary for one bush, so this fact must be taken into account.

  • Square-nesting method. Ensures the landing of tall varieties, where the processing of the site between rows is very important. Tomatoes are planted at the corners of the square in such a way that there were some plants in the row. To compensate for the effect you need to plant several bushes. This method facilitates caring for rows.
  • Ribbon. It is a trench with holes, between which 40 cm. The second trench should be digging after 80 cm. The method allows to save a plot of land, as well as conveniently watering the plants.
  • Ribbon socket method. Allows you to plant a large number of bushes. Ideal for small sites and lowest varieties of tomatoes. The method consists of separation of soil into irrigation grooves after 1.4 m, the bushes are planted on the sides of the furrow.
  • Chess. It assumes a trench with holes that are located in a checkerboard on both sides of the trench. This scheme also saves space, so suitable for small sites.

The landing scheme must be chosen depending on the seedlings. For low-speed tomatoes, it is necessary to retreat about 60 cm between rows and 40 cm between bushes. For tall - between rows of 70 cm and 50 cm between wells.

Nuances landing

  • In one well, you can land one bush. Some are planted in order to save space for several bushes, which is not correct.
  • After landing, you can tie the plant to the support.
  • Saplings need to be regularly poured, and the Earth is to rub for oxygen saturation and preventing the formation of a dense dry crust of the soil.
  • Unregular watering can lead to rot.
  • After 10 days, the plants can be fertilized by phosphoric and nitrogen fertilizer.
  • If the plant has grown, but there is no barrier, then you need to remove nitrogen fertilizers.
  • After 14 days, there is a dipping of bushes by 10 cm.

If the warm weather costs a few days, the soil warmed up, and the cooling is not expected, then you can start landing. It is not so difficult, especially if you know all the nuances and the subtleties of the process.
