In almost every family today there is a home cinema system (Home Cinema). Sometimes the user has difficulty switching home theater to a new or existing TV. Below we will look at the connection options, depending on the types of interfaces, the transmission of the video signal from the home movies system to the television receiver.
1
The highest quality interface is currently connecting to HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface). This is a digital format that allows one specialized cable to transfer a high resolution video signal (HD), high-quality multi-channel sound in digital formats and control commands. Switching is made by one specialized HDMI cable.
2
The second image quality is PB PR color uniform interface. It is also called "component" connections. This is a high-quality analog video switching method. It is carried out using specialized coaxial cables in the amount of three pieces. The cable must have a wave resistance of 75 ohms. Connection is made by matching the corresponding sockets (RCA connectors) on the signal source side and on board the TV. Sound accompaniment is connected by RCA cable to the appropriate source outputs and TV inputs. Audio signal is only analog dual-channel.
3
Approximately equal in quality is the way to transmit video in RGB - is particularly common in European video devices. Connection is performed using a specialized cable called SCART. The collar video signal (red \\ blue \\ green), stereo sound and control commands are transmitted. Signals pure analog. Connection is made by turning on the SCART cable to the appropriate video source and television sockets.
4
Rarely, but still encounters the S-Video interface (Separate Video). This is an outdated analog format that is not able to relay the image in high resolution. It is used to connect outdated video devices. The maximum quality available to this method of signal transmission, not more than 400 television lines vertically. Switching connectors are made in the form of a four-hour outlet in the source and TV. Commanded with each other S-Video cable with two mini-din connectors. Sound accompaniment is connected in the same way as in the case of a "component" connection.
5
The easiest and low quality connection method is VideoO (analog composite signal). Suitable for programs that do not require high quality (no more than 400 television lines) and output of the video signal source menu on a TV. Switching is made by one coaxial cable with a wave resistance of 75 ohms. On both ends of the cable installed RCA connectors. The sound is connected in the same way as in paragraph 2 of this notes. Sometimes this type of cable is produced by a flat ribbon, in which audio and video are combined.
Well, in principle, and that's it. Do not forget that all connections must be made when the equipment is turned off from the network. Otherwise, there is a risk of damage to expensive equipment. Enjoy your view!
