Registration of a custom letter in the mail involves assigning a unique mail identifier to it, which is indicated in the check. The shipment of departure within Russia has an identifier in the form of 14 digits, international shipments - 4 Latin letters and 9 digits.

To find out at what stage at the moment your registered letter is, go to link On the service page of the Russian Post. In the empty "email identifier" field, enter the fourteen-digit number. Do not forget to enter a code confirming that you are not a robot. And click the "Find" button.

After passing the registered letter, the mail employee is filled with data and sending is assigned the "Reception" status indicating the date and time. If the letter is sent to other countries, in which case it passes customs clearance. This is evidenced by the status "Arrival in the place of international postal exchange."

Export operation shows the successful receipt by the carrier of the postal shipment. The period of transition to imports can last sufficiently long and depends on transportation transport companies. The status "Import" speaks of the arrival of the letter to the country of destination.

Next, the letter must pass customs control. If there are no problems with the mailing, it receives the statuses "Customs clearance completed" and "left MMP". Otherwise, "detained customs".

Then the sorting process comes where letters on the routes are distributed. Well, the final status "arrived at the place of delivery", after which the addressee receives a notification of the arrival of a registered letter.

In case the mail is not possible to track or in your opinion, it does not come for too long because of the loss, you should contact the post office and write a statement. Please note that the application forms on the search for international and internal departures differ. The application is accepted if you have a payment receipt with the postal identifier number.
To obtain a custom letter, you must have a document certifying the identity and the mail identifier number. Mailing is kept in the mail within 30 days from the date of sending notifications. If the addressee did not appear behind the letter, it goes back to the sender and passes the same stage.
