Matting glass is carried out in order to decorate the surface, obtaining the thematic pattern, reduce its transparency or for masking small scratches and chips. This process can be carried out both on glass interior doors, cabinet doors and on glasses for wine and champagne. There are several methods of glass matting. Consider the most accessible and easy-to-home method.
You will need:
matting paste;
glass itself;
rubber spatula;
oracal film or ready-made stencil;
latex gloves;
alcohol.

Preparing stencils. To do this, we come up with your drawing or find you like on the Internet. The pattern can be made on a piece of film itself and then cut it with a stationery knife. Or order a ready vector version from the designer.

Next, prepare the working surface. My glass is wipe and additionally degreased alcohol. Dirty divorces, dust will spoil the drawing, and the effect will not be that.

Glue gently stencil on the glass. On its surface should not be unevenness, bubbles. Small cloth neatly scroll the surface if there are bubbles - pinched with a needle.

The paste includes floatic acid related to aggressive liquids. Therefore, when working with it, observe the safety measures: wear rubber gloves on the hands, work with an open window, avoid getting tools to open areas of leather and mucous membranes.

On areas located near open elements, apply a paste. It is dripped on the glass not immediately, as the mattiness is ironsome. We take the spatula and quickly smear the paste all over the surface of the glass. Let's leave for 10-15 minutes.

After the time expires, we collect a paste spatula back to the bank (it can be used several times). Glass rinse under a stream of water with a sponge, wipe dry. We remove the stencil from the surface right away, otherwise after the film there may be traces of glue. If the film is clenched bad, it is worth it with a hairdryer.

For the processing of large surfaces, sandblasting machines are used that allow you to obtain a matteness of various density. This method cannot be used at home, as a lot of dust is formed. With other methods of mating glass can be found here.
