If you have introduced the activation key for your version of Windows, and then lost it, the code is easy to restore, following the instructions below. Search for activation key through the script

Other ways to find out the Windows key

Almost universal assistance is provided by the AIDA64-EXTREME program. You can download it for free for an introductory period, but some functions will be blocked. However, using the service package is extremely convenient. To find out the key, you just need:

launch AIDA;
click on the upper left section, with the name of the program;
on the right to select the “operating system”;
click on the badge of the same name again;
go to the second paragraph from above, called “Information about licenses”;
here ID, key, owner of the computer will be indicated.

As alternatives, it is easy to use free programs Produkey, ShowkeyPlus, Free PC Audit or any others. They work exactly by analogy, finding the necessary information in their window will not be difficult.

Activation key for Windows 10

For “dozens”, the recovery process is much easier. The activation code is tied to the Microsoft account and is stored on the company's server. To activate the new operating system, just pass authorization. The combination itself does not need to remember. However, if this information is fundamentally needed, for one reason or another, there are several ways to recognize it.

Through ShowkeyPlus programs - nothing new here, works the same way as AIDA.
Using the PowerShell script. Create a document, put in it script,we save in the expansion .PS1, for example, on the disk C: \\ after starting on behalf of the administrator. PowerShell-console will open, in it we enter the SET-EXECECUTIONPOLICY Remotesigned command, click Y to confirm its implementation. Next, we type C: \\ win10key.ps1, indicating the path to our file. If the team worked, we will see the desired key.
To extract the key recorded in UEFI, we write on the command line - wmic Path SoftwareelicensingService Get OA3XORIGINALPRODUCTKEY

In particular cases, you can see that the 25-digit code is hidden, or displayed in the form of the same letters. This will mean that your OS version is activated by a corporate key that is not stored on the PC itself. It should be noted that the Produkey program, mentioned above, will restore not only Windows keys, but also similar data to many other programs.
