The most unpleasant situation is for the user - the computer is not loaded, and a lot of time is required to restore Windows. You can quickly restore the system using a predetermined backup. Bacup (backup accurate copy) will be easy to do with a simple R-Drive Image program. The utility creates a file image with the extension .iso (maybe another), which includes the system registry, OS loader, desktop settings, etc.
1
Download the conditionally free version of the program reference1or by reference2.. Install and run the program. In its main window, select the "Creating an Image" action.
2
The next window lists the numbers of the logical discs of this computer under the numbers. Select the partition that you want to create a copy. For example, create a logical disk clone with: Click on it with the left mouse button, a red feature will appear under its name. At the bottom of the window will be the available "Next" button.
3
Press "Next". The next window is called the "Location of the Image". In this window, set the name of the image file and the location of it, that is, specify which folder to write this file and its name. It is better to create a folder in advance to save the backup copies of the disk sections. For example, the folder will call "Image-Klon", and the file is "Myklon". Press "Next".
4
In the "Image Options" window, set the degree of compression file image. To do this, move the marked slider in the desired position. It should be noted that the faster the cloning process passes, the greater the size of the destination file and vice versa, by increasing the image creation time, reduce the size of the file. On the right side of the window displays the size of the free disk space and the approximate size of the destination file. Click "Next".
5
In the next window, you can mark the option "ignore disk read errors (bad sectors)", if there is a possibility of having failed sectors on a disk that interfere with backup, otherwise you do not perform any actions and go to the next window. Here, examine the summary information generated by the clone, if everything satisfies, then press "Start". To change some settings, click the "Back" button.
6
Wait for the process of creating a disk image file. If cloning has passed successfully and a backup copy of all these selected partition is created, the inscription "The image has been successfully created" appears on the screen. Open the folder that you specified to place the image file ("Image-Klon"), a file appears in it with the extension "ARC". The R-DRIVE Image program works with this type of files.
The "R-Drive Image" utility allows you to restore the entire copied disc partition if you need to remove individual files from the copy, which have been removed from the hard drive, but have become necessary. The program creates a kind of save (saving) OS and all user data, which can then be restored in a few minutes. Perform cloning is preferably before each serious change in OS settings or for a "rollback" of the system when it infects its viruses. The main thing is the availability of free space on the hard drive.
