How to make a backup iPhone

A backup copy of any device on iOS can be useful in order to be reinforced and reliably save your data, protect them from loss in case of failure, breakage, theft, or any other problem.

What is a backup iPhone

What are the features of iPhone or iPad backup? Created copy is a compressed file files that have been selected by the system. You can get them using iTunes or ICloud, store on a computer, external medium or in a cloud service. It should be mentioned that (in the style of the usual Apple policy), the backup through the above resources is fixed, that is, it turns on not all possible and desired files, but only those for which copying is provided. What is not in the backup copies of the iPhone

These lists will also be different for iTunes and ICloud. We list them below, in order of priority for both services. Itunes is not included in the iTunes backup:

  • any download from iTunes;
  • app Store Applications;
  • stored in icloud files;
  • settings for Touch ID and Apple Pay;
  • information from the "Activity", Health and Key Programs and Other (To enable them to the archive, use backup encryption in iTunes).
  • for iCloud NO: data from the cloud;
  • Apple Pay and Touch ID;
  • downloads, except iTunes Store, App Store or IBooks Store (however, easily downloaded again).

How to back up through iTunes or iCloud for iPhone

This archive is local, that is, will be saved on your computer. To create it:

  • we launch iTunes and connect the smartphone to the PC on the USB;
  • choosing it in the program and click "Create a copy now" (the process itself will be launched);
  • when copying is completed, in the "Recent Copies" section, an inscription will appear: "Today (time) on this computer", and full copying information will be displayed on the "Device" tab;
  • to copy via iCloud: Create AppleID (if not yet) and plug the iCloud to your device;
  • to start a backup, you will need a Wi-Fi connection - connect to the Internet;
  • on the smartphone, go to "Settings" -\u003e ICloud -\u003e "Backup", srolling the page to the Niza itself;
  • take the switch to the "Backup to ICloud" point and click Backup.
