How to write a file on a flash drive

You can write a few ways to write a file to an external storage device for storing, transferring information, as well as to exchange data and backup files - i.e. Flip or USB flash drive. You can record using file managers like Total Commander, but we will use the tools of the Windows itself.

1
Consider the easiest option of recording or in other words - copying small files with the image. Attach a USB flash drive to a PC. Open the folder on your computer with your picture you like and choose one photo, such as a kitten. Click on it right mouse button. In the window that opens, we find the "Send" command in the list and then choose the destination destination your flashlight.

2
The second option is slightly harder - it starts similarly, only in the window from the list, click "Copy". Next, open the USB flash drive and click anywhere. Choose from the "Paste" list, and the kitty is copied.

3
You can also use the function of transferring files from one folder to another using the simplest manipulation with the mouse. Open the window with files, and the storage window is row. Hover the mouse to the picture, highlighting it with the left mouse button, pull it out for it and drag into the right place. Where to release the mouse, there is an image and "landing".

4
To record several selective files, you need to hold the "CTRL" key, and click on the desired photos by the left mouse, selecting them, or keep the SHIFT modifier key is the rapid selection of pictures for each other. Having highlight, or set the command to "Copy" and "Paste", or drag with a single mouse.

5
When copying large sizes to the drive of more than 4 GB, small difficulties may arise. USB flash drives are formatted in FAT32 file system, which does not allow file recording weighing more than 4 GB. To record a movie with a .mkv or .dvd extension on a device up to 16 GB, it is necessary to format in the NTFS system.

6
Open "My Computer" and click on the removable disk with the right mouse. Select "Format" from the list and exhibit the NTFS file system. In this case, fast formatting is suitable, and therefore: we put the checkbox and activate the button "Start". Now difficulties with big files should not be.

The last formatting option is provided for files size of more than 4 GB. If your flashlight has a small size, then deep cleaning in NTFS is not an idea and can reduce the service life of the drive, and it will not be possible to view information on the DVD player and if you need to create a boot USB disk.
