Next, you need to determine the disk diameter. Such information can be found in the passport by car. Most modern motorists resort to an increase in the mounting diameter - for example, 14-inch 14-inch are often mounted instead of 13-inch disks. As a result, the car owner appears the opportunity to establish low-profile tires, the driving qualities of which are undoubtedly better than that of high-profile rubber. But consider that the steel disk will significantly lose the wheel, so if you plan to install larger diameter discs, give preference to the alloy.

The next thing to pay attention to is the amount, as well as the diameter of the mounting holes (in the tire terminology, it is indicated as PCD). For example, the marking PCD100 / 4 is decrypted. The disk has four mounting holes, the diameter of which is 100 mm. Quite often, the wheel discs PCD98 / 4 are mounted on the hub with such labeling. It would seem that the difference is only 2 mm, however, in this situation, it is very significant - the disc will "sit down" on the hub, the wheel during movement will be "beat" and vibrate, and the protracted bolts can unscrew.

Also, during the selection of automotive discs, such a characteristic is necessarily taken into account, as a disk departure (designated as ET or OFFSET). Each car is inherent in the definite value of this indicator, so install the discs only with the recommended departure manufacturer. This will be the key to optimal manageability and good stability of the machine. Of course, a decrease in departure will help to achieve a bright visual effect, but the bearings of the hubs, and the suspension will also be pretty overloaded, and this, in turn, significantly affects their operation and driving safety.

Pay attention to the sizes of the wheel fastening elements. Suppose you decided to replace the fed one steel stamped discovers alloy. Most likely, the installation will have to use not regular, and longer bolts - the alloy disc is somewhat thicker than steel "conifer". It is important that the bolts that when fastening the wheels are screwed into the hub, entered at least seven full turns.
