What is Viber

Viber is a program that allows for free to carry out calls between the devices on which it is installed. Its developer is the joint Belarusian-Israeli company Viber. At the moment, the number of users exceeds 180 million.

New developments within the Viber application allow voice calls and video calls, transmitting text and multimedia messages using a computer with Mac OS X and Windows operating systems. This allows the program to compete with a widespread Skype program.

Calls are free only between users of Viber program, when making calls to numbers that do not use it, the fee is charged by the operator's tariffs. The cost of communication through the Viber program is connected only with tariffs for using the Internet. The speed of the Internet for uninterrupted voice communication should be at least 1 megabita per second, to send messages enough 64 kilobit per second.

Along with the voice link, it is possible to send text and multimedia messages that are also free. However, if the program is removed from the device, all messages will be lost, because On Viber servers, data is not stored, so important information must be exported to another reliable storage location.

After installing the program to the user, the user does not need to independently analyze contacts from the phone book, which also use Viber. Scanning occurs automatically. All functions of the program are sufficiently simple and as much as possible with the phone menu: the history of calls, messages, individual design of each contact, etc. In order for the program to become active, it is enough to have an Internet connection, and the network authorization occurs at the phone number and data in the note Device book.
