Light Sarafan - Favorite among female summer clothes. Sew the summer sundress independently - quite easily, while you will not spend a lot of time and money. Sarafan with assemblies suitable for any type of shape.
Preparatory work
For sewing you need:
- the cloth,
- measuring tape,
- rubber thread
- threads
- needles
- sewing machine,
- scissors.
Before the start of sewing, post the fabric. This will allow to identify the shortcomings of the future dresses (molting or shrinkage).
Removing measure
We need only two measurements. Sarafan is two rectangles, and you need to know their dimensions:
- First measure the amount of the chest. Measure the most speakers, without tighting tight tape so that the breath is not difficult. We multiply the volume of the chest by 1.5 and add a couple of centimeters to the allowance. This result is divided by 2. As a result, we get the first measure - the width of the rectangle.
- Then we determine the length of the sundhan. Standing straight, measuring the measuring tape distance from the chest to the point where the edge of the product will be. We add about 4 cm on the allowance at the top and 8 cm at the bottom for a sprinkle. We get as a result of our second measure.
- From the prepared tissue, cut 2 rectangles with the specified dimensions.
Side seams and springs
From above, bend the fabric twice, press, temper and flash closer to the edge. We shoot the fabric, pending the face to the wrongness. We carry out the edges. The same is done below.
Preparation for seat assemblies
Building technique is a sewing-elastic thread in a bobbin (instead of threads). IMPORTANT: The fabric is stitched to face up when assembling folds so that the gum is inside the sundress.
Preparatory manipulations:
- Manually wrap the gum on the bobbin. It is not necessary to stretch, just tightly wrap, do not stretch.
- We put a bobbin in the shut and tighten the thread.
- Take the flap of fabric and try to correct the settings if necessary. Most often it may be necessary to increase the step - the length of the stitch.
Assembling rolling
We admonish a rubber thread:
- We put the cloth face upstairs and start shooting out as close as possible to the upper throat.
- Each line is parallel to the top, focusing on the paw. With each line, the effect of seamless fabric is enhanced. The number of lines will depend on the size of your breast. Several times in the sewing process, try on the product to understand how the election height should be. The usual distance is 5-8 cm from the waist line.
- It is advisable to make sure that the material is not seven. To do this, stretch the sundress with two hands on the desktop.
- After completed with the assemblies, bring the supragan from the front side by applying the sweeping function.
Production of straps
In the manufacture of straps it is appropriate to show fantasy. Length, width, general view of straps - the matter of your taste. This Sarafan model can be worn without them. If you still decide to sew them, you can make them both straight and cross on your back.
To decide on the length of the straps, try out the sundress, pre-put the bra with which you are going to wear your new clothes. Space (with someone else's) location where straps will fill. We define how many fabric will go on them. Let's say you decide to sew straps of medium width of 2.5 cm. Cut 10 cm multiplied by strap length. We curb the fabric in half, press, then press the edge to the center. We flash on both sides, closer to the edge. Now it remains to sew our straps - and the new sundress is ready.
