According to the current legislation of the Russian Federation, foreign citizens arriving in the country must contact the migration service, to register, as well as have legal reasons for staying in Russia.
What if the registration ended?
Citizens of many countries can be located in the Federation without additional permits, in a clearly allocated time. After its expiration, additional formalities will need to comply with the legality of their stay at the place of residence. Therefore, one of the first items to extend temporary registration is the mandatory availability of housing and the consent of its owner to your accommodation. The following documents will also be required:
- actual passport throughout the time staying in the country;
- the presence of a fully completed migration card, which is better to always keep with you;
- a statement that will be issued in the migration service;
- notarized consent of the owner of housing in which you are going to live (perhaps you will need the personal presence of the owner of the apartment).
When and how should I negotiate registration?
It all depends on what is the cause of your stay in the country. So, for example, students and workers make permissions every year, on the basis of a contract for employment and enrollment to the next course of the educational institution. 3 years after the official stay in the country, you can qualify for a temporary permit, after 5 years - get a residence permit. Many legal companies are engaged in paid accompanying applicants, helping them to save time and effort. Despite this, in the official institution, the procedure for extending registration is absolutely free (except for paying taxes). It should also be borne in mind that temporary registration binds you to a specific place. Simply put, if you were registered in the capital, then you have right only there. To get permission without problems, you will also need a stamp on the medical examination, excluding the presence of serious diseases.
In order not to receive a refusal to legally be legally in the Russian Federation, it should be remembered - the documents for renewal must be submitted in advance. Otherwise, they may not be time to consider. If it was not possible to re-record the registration, staying in the country without permission can lead to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine (2-5 thousand rubles, as a last resort - a ban on entry into the Russian Federation for 5 years).
