How to enable HDMI on TV

The age of new technologies is constantly changing everyday life, and today your favorite movie can be viewed not with a belling pirate translation, but in high quality HD or Blu-Ray. All you need is the availability of HDMI outputs with a TV and a computer.

The first thing you need is a HDMI cable. Often it comes complete to the TV. If not, the cable can be bought at any audio, video equipment store. Think out in advance, the cable is needed. There are several HDMI connectors on TVs on the latest generations. Connect one end of the cable to HDMI 2, and the second to the HDMI connector of your computer or laptop.

Do not worry if, instead of the desired image, you will read a warning on the TV screen that the cable is not connected or there is no signal. How to act in this case, is shown on the example of SAMSUNG TVs. Find the Source button on the TV panel and select HDMI 2 from the proposed list. Perhaps at this stage the question will decide, and the image will appear on the TV screen.

If nothing has changed, go to the computer settings (laptop) - Press the right mouse button on the free field of the desktop. A window will appear in which you want to select "Screen Resolution". Pay attention to the "Multiple Screens" string. If it is set to "Display the desktop only to 1 (2) monitor" option, change the "Duplicate these screens" option. "Several Monitors" should appear in the screen.

Now the desktop image appears on the television screen. ATTENTION: In order for the image on both screens to have the perfect HD quality, the resolution of the TV screens and the monitor must match. In this case, it will be established by default. But for example, your monitor does not support such a high resolution as TV. Then set the desired permission on the TV, since you will look at it.

It is possible when you get a great image, but without sound. This problem is also solved quite simply: as a rule, it is in the wrong operating system settings, no additional cable you will need. Select "Sound" in the "Control Panel" (for this you can use one of the screens). If there is no name for your TV in the sound settings window, call the settings menu by right-click and check the ticks opposite the "Show disabled devices" and "Show detached devices". Next, check the box opposite the name of the TV and turn off the other functions (computer speakers and other devices). Confirm the task, clicking "Apply" and "OK". Now your TV reproduces the sound.
