How to make parallel parking

It is the method of parallel parking by reverse.

Typically, the way parallel parking is used when the length of the parking space is only 1.5-2 of the length of the car. In this case, it is possible to drive in front of the front, but at the same time one part of the car will significantly protrude from a number of parked machines, and, it means to create significant interference to other road users. Given the workload of Russian cities by cars, such situations are not uncommon. So to master parallel parking with reversal is an urgent need.

Go to the parking space, it should look like this: the car is ahead, the car is behind and between them is free space exceeding the size of your car 2 times. You need to get to the first parked car so that your rear wheel will be filled with the beginning of a free space. Control it through the right side mirror.

Visually, checking the correctness of the distance, unscrew the steering wheel of the car until it is left to the right, then turn on the reverse and start a careful movement back. You must move in this way until your car gets smoothly diagonally. Check that you can, looking into the mirror - you should see the extreme right point of the parked second car and, accordingly, the end point of your parking space.

Now unscrew the steering wheel to the central position - that is, the wheels are straight and the car moves in a straight line. Also on the rear gear, start moving by controlling it through the left side mirror. When your rear left wheel cross the external parking line, stop.

Open the steering wheel, this time until it stops to the left, and you can continue the movement back, not forgetting to control the situation on the mirrors. When the machine takes the position parallel to the curb or the edge of the road, stop.
