Vladimir is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Russia, was founded in 990 by Prince Vladimir. For several centuries, there was a residence of Russian princes. The tour of the city traditionally begins at the Golden Gate, which are rightfully considered a symbol of the city. They were erected with Andrei Bogolyubsky as the main entrance to the city. Initially, the gate had oak plates covered with gold-plated copper. However, over time, they collapsed and rebuilt again. On the top floor of the gate is the Ricazenenskaya Church, where the exposition of the Museum of Military Valit is currently located.

For some time, Vladimir was the capital of Ancient Russia, but after the loss of this status, the tradition of adopting the throne by Russian princes in the Assumption Cathedral, located in the city center at the Cathedral Square, has been preserved. This oldest monument of architecture, in the image and similarity of which was also built by the Cathedral in the Moscow Kremlin, is famous for the fact that Alexander Nevsky and Dmitry Donskoy was taken in his walls. Inside, priceless frescoes are preserved - the works of Andrei Rublev.

Dmitrievsky Cathedral, built in 1197 by Prince in Vsevolod, is the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cathedral is named after St. Dmitry Solunsky. For construction, ancient masters used a stone with a skillful carvings in the form of bizarre paintings with the image of saints, princes, as well as plants and animals.

Trading series, the construction of which was completed in 1790, were an important object of public life of the city. In antiquity, they were a quadrangular building with an open courtyard. Outside, he was decorated with small indoor galleries leading to commercial premises. To date, only the southern part of the construction has been preserved, which has undergone significant changes. In 2006, northern trade ranks were opened on this territory.
