The Ethnographic Museum of Varna was created in 1974. Its exposition presents the subjects of the life and culture of the local population, ritual accessories, products of Bulgarian masters. A special place among the exhibits is the layout of the city house of the late 19th century, which accurately reproduces the details of the life of a wealthy citizen. From the sighting platform, the museum offers a beautiful panoramic view of the city.

The most ancient landmark of Varna - the ruins of the Roman term, which in the distant past served not only by the bath, but also the place of communication, resting citizens. They feature training halls, saunas, hot pools with hot and cold water. Presumably the terms were built in the 2nd century of our era and occupied a huge area of \u200b\u200bmore than 7000 sq.m. Currently, only a small part of them is preserved.

Tourists can learn about the rich events of naval history Bulgarians by visiting the National Maritime Museum, founded in 1923 in the maritime school building. In 1956, the exposition was transferred to the sea garden at Villa Diana, where it is currently. The museum consists of 12 exhibition halls where the collections of marine weapons and uniforms are placed. On open areas you can see the ancient anchors, artillery guns and even helicopters. And in a special glazed showcase, a yacht is installed, on which Bulgarian Georgy Georgiev has traveled around the world. The most valuable exhibit is the warship of the daring, which participated in the 1912 Balkan War.

Botanical Garden of Balchik - the most picturesque place of Varna. The area on which there are about 3,000 species of plants, more than 35 hectares. Bulgarian soft climate, close to the Mediterranean, allows to grow plants here-exotics from different corners of the globe. On the territory there are a unique rose garden and a cactus garden, which includes more than 250 species. The special impression on visitors to the Botanical Garden, located in the former residence of Queen Marie of Romania, produces its architectural solution, which is sponsored by the Italian architects Americo and Augostino.

Truly unique sights - the rock monastery Aladzha, located 14 km from Varna. At a height of 40 meters above the sea, tourists can see the chapel, refectory and monastic cells, hewn into the rock. Convent located at two naturally formed terraces. In ancient times, the monastery walls were covered with numerous rock paintings, which was reflected in the temple Aladzha name, translated from Bulgarian "motley".
